Wildlife in and around Budemeadows

Our site is situated amidst fields and surrounded by hedgerows providing a variety of habitats for all sorts of creatures.  The secluded coves along the coast harbor seals, dolphins can be seen from the cliff tops and the nearby Tamar valley is frequented by otters. 

We know that summer will soon be here when our resident swallows return (April 14 in 2009) from their Winter holidays.

Other Wildlife

There are Foxes and Badgers in the area, but they are rarely seen on site.  The hedgerows are home to a number of small mammals such as shrews, field mice, moles and voles as well as stoats and weasels.   There are rabbits of course and if you are an early riser you may catch a glimpse of deer in the surrounding fields, look a couple of fields further and you'll see a Llama or two.
